Home Energy Assessment
Once you have registered your interest in the One Stop Shop Scheme, an Energlaze energy consultant will contact you by phone to discuss your requirements and provide information on our process.
If your home is deemed suitable for an Energy Upgrade, we will book an appointment for an independent technical BER assessor to call to your home. They will determine its suitability for cost optimal energy upgrades to reach a minimum B2 rating.
The home energy assessment will also provide details of your home’s heat loss by measuring your home’s HLI (Heat Loss Indicator) and determine its suitability for installing a heat pump. If you have a current BER certificate you will be asked some details about your current energy rating, and any improvements you have made since that BER was issued.
Note: The cost of a Home Energy Assessment starts at €620*, however, it is refunded in full if you decide to proceed with the project, using ENERGLAZE as your retrofit partner.
*Final cost of the Home Assessment depends on the size and type of home.
We then provide a full report which includes indicative costs and grant details.
Report
Based on the Technical BER Assessment we will provide a detailed proposal, recommending the optimal upgrades to achieve a B2 BER or better.
Once you’re happy with the recommended improvements we will send an engineer to conduct a detailed survey of the individual measures required to deliver a successful energy upgrade.
Estimate
We will finalise the works specifications and estimate the cost to deliver the agreed BER Rating, discuss the cost optimal options and provide details of finance options available to you.
Proceed with the recommended upgrades and grant process.
The final steps
Significant grants are available from the SEAI and If you’re happy with our proposed upgrades and costs, we will make a detailed application to the SEAI on your behalf.

Note: This application process is charged at €250 and is refunded in full if you choose to proceed, with Energlaze as your retrofit partner.
All guarantees and warranties will be issued once the job has been completed.
