From F to A3 BER

A BER (Building Energy Rating) survey revealed a poor rating of F on this typical 1970s home. Energlaze, in consultation with an independent technical BER assessor, recommended the most suitable and cost-efficient energy upgrades to deliver improved energy efficiency and home comfort.

The upgrades when implemented significantly reduced energy costs and the homeowner’s dependency on fossil fuels. For more information see the results section below.

The results

A BER assessment conducted on the completed upgrades revealed an A3 BER rating.

This project qualified for significant grants from the SEAI and, as an approved installer, Energlaze was also able to deliver energy credits worth in excess of €1,000 from its Energy Partner, Bord Gáis Energy.
